The theater and audience connect together. Kansai and the world connect together. A festival that "connects" everyone who participates in various ways. The 2021 year festival was led by the Executive Committee Chairman Riho Yoshioka and Director Itsuji Itao, along with their special supporters Shatner Nishida and Isao Yukisada. The Kansai Theater Festival holds a question-and-answer moment between the actors and the public audience at the end of each performance.
